In 1989 Kirk began his career as a graphic designer with a then fledging Graphic Design Studio - Evertt & Associates under the mentorship of owner Deanna Evertt. Projects included ad design, logo design, brochure design and more.
In 1991 he dove into newspaper advertising as a graphic designer at the award winning Abbotsford News where he was quickly named Co-Creative Director. There he was responsible for multiple projects including ad design, special editorial design, and in-house features and guides.
In 2003 Kirk took his skills to The Penticton Western News in the beautiful Okanagan. He became the Creative Manager and sales representative for the Real Estate Weekly as well as Creative Director for BC Food & Wine Trails magazine.
2017 brought a new role as Founder and Publisher of two targeted community magazines, Glenmore Highland Living and Lake Country Living. This role highlighted Kirk's B2B sales and marketing skills helping local businesses target market their business to affluent and engaged readers.
During his career Kirk has amassed numerous Provincial, National and International design awards.
Kirk is now a freelance designer based in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. He is available to help take your project to the next level.
